To get a better high resolution of biopolymers like proteins, Pharmacia (Uppsala, Sweden; now known as, Amershan Biosciences) developed fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC). FPLC can be applied with all types of chromatographic modes, such as, ion exchange, gel filtration, hydrophobic interaction. FPLC colums allow much more protein loading with compare to HPLC.
Stationary phase: A resin composed of cross-linked agarose beads.
Mobile Phase: Liquid.
PRINCIPLE:
